Akshay Kumar is set to return to the big screen with the horror‑comedy Bhooth Bangla, reuniting with acclaimed director Priyadarshan. Originally scheduled for release on April 10, the film will now hit theaters on April 17, 2026, with paid previews on April 16.
The producers unveiled the theatrical trailer today, showcasing a grand entertainer that blends humor and horror. Rooted in folklore, the story revolves around a demon named Vadhusur, who threatens the people of Mangalpur. Akshay plays Arjun, who arrives at his family palace to host his sister’s wedding, only to be caught in a whirlwind of spooky events and hilarious chaos.
Known for his impeccable comic timing, Akshay appears to be in top form, with Priyadarshan bringing out his best. The trailer highlights a strong mix of comedy, horror, and drama, set against the backdrop of a royal mansion.
