Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, has been surrounded by speculation regarding its release date. Initially scheduled for April 10, 2026, reports suggested a one-week delay to avoid clashing with the Dhurandhar 2 wave. BookMyShow even updated the release date to April 17, adding to the confusion.
However, the producers have now taken to social media to confirm that the film will be released as originally planned. Despite this assurance, fans are still puzzled as there has been no update on the theatrical trailer, which is unusual for a Bollywood film of this scale with such a short gap for the release of the film.
Bhooth Bangla features a strong ensemble cast alongside Akshay Kumar. Wamiqa Gabbi plays the female lead, while Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, Rajesh Sharma, and Manoj Joshi appear in significant roles.
Though rumors of delay created uncertainty, the makers have reaffirmed that Bhooth Bangla will arrive on schedule. With its star-studded cast and Priyadarshan’s signature blend of comedy and chaos, the film is one of the most anticipated releases of this year.
