Director Koratala Siva, who carved a strong mark in Telugu cinema with back-to-back hits, is currently going through a challenging situation. After delivering the blockbuster Devara with NTR, he spent some time working on its sequel. However, reports suggest that his attempts to approach other star heroes with fresh scripts have not worked out.
Though Devara was a big success, uncertainty surrounds its second part. With NTR busy with multiple pan-India projects, the start date for Devara 2 remains unclear.
In the meantime, Koratala is said to have approached big stars like Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan, but neither gave a green signal. Balakrishna is currently inclined towards younger directors, while Pawan has prioritized other filmmakers. This has come as an unexpected setback for Koratala.
Even his name was linked to Naga Chaitanya’s 25th film, but that project also did not materialize. Since Koratala is not keen on working with smaller heroes, his only option now seems to be waiting for Jr. NTR’s availability. Until Devara 2 goes on floors, this star director has no choice but to remain patient.
