Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s much-hyped collaboration with director Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, failed to live up to expectations at the box office. Coming after the blockbuster Gabbar Singh, fans had sky-high hopes for this reunion. However, mixed responses and negative reviews meant the film couldn’t even cross the ₹100 crore mark in its full run.
Now, the film is set to test its luck on digital platforms. Netflix has officially announced that Ustaad Bhagat Singh will begin streaming from April 16, making its pan-India digital debut in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam simultaneously.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film features Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna as the leading ladies, with Parthiban playing the antagonist. The soundtrack was composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Thaman provided the powerful background score. Veteran actors K.S. Ravikumar, Gautami, and Rao Ramesh also appear in key roles.
After its underwhelming theatrical run, all eyes are now on how OTT audiences will receive Ustaad Bhagat Singh. With its star power and multi-language release, the film has another chance to win over viewers.
