The fun drama Funky, starring Vishwak Sen as the lead and Kayadu Lohar as the female lead, is directed by Anudeep K. V. The film was released in theaters with decent buzz but failed to meet expectations at the box office. After an underwhelming theatrical run, the movie has now finally made its way to OTT.
As is already known, the streaming rights of the film were acquired by the popular platform Netflix. The movie is now available for streaming on the platform starting today.
However, it appears that the film has not received much positive response, even on OTT. Many viewers who watched the comedy entertainer on the platform say that the film did not deliver the expected laughs. Apart from a few scattered moments, audiences feel that the signature humor usually associated with director Anudeep is largely missing in Funky.
Interestingly, Anudeep’s earlier film Jathi Ratnalu was a massive success both in theaters and on OTT. His later film Prince, starring Sivakarthikeyan, failed at the box office but managed to receive a better response after its OTT release. Unfortunately, Funky has not been able to replicate that success, as it struggled to impress audiences both in theaters and on OTT.
