Yash’s upcoming film Toxic has landed in fresh controversy. After facing backlash for a bold sex scene shown in the teaser, the film is now being criticized for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

Earlier, the Women’s Commission had objected to the teaser for depicting an intimate scene inside a car. Now, according to a report in Hindustan Times, the National Christian Federation (NCF) has filed a complaint with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The NCF has raised objections to scenes that reportedly show Christian religious elements in a controversial manner. In the teaser, a sex scene takes place in a car parked outside a cemetery, followed by a violent gunfight. The visuals also include Christian symbols, including a statue of Archangel Michael, which the group claims is offensive.

Toxic is scheduled for release on March 19 and is yet to receive its censor certification.
