Hyderabad, which has a huge number of moviegoers, is set to launch two Dolby Cinema Screens in a few months.

Dolby Cinema officially debuted in India in July 2025, with the first screen opening at City Pride in Pune. Plans are in place for an initial rollout of six Dolby Cinema locations across India, including Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Trichy, Kochi, and Ulikkal. These premium screens feature a combination of Dolby Vision dual 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound.

Hyderabad Upcoming: Allu Cineplex in Kokapet (featuring a 75 ft screen) Ranga Theatre, Jeedimetla. Bengaluru: AMB Cinemas (Already Opened a few weeks back)

While Dolby Atmos is already present in over 1,000 screens in India, these new locations are dedicated “Dolby Cinema” branded, premium auditoriums. The expansion marks a significant entry into the premium large-format market in India, competing with existing formats like IMAX.
