It was a masterstroke from team Dhurandhar when they announced that the sequel will not just be arriving on time, but also come with paid premieres a day before. And what a decision it has turned out to be as Dhurandhar The Revenge is shattering all paid premieres records.
The best paid premiere number for a Hindi film were for Stree 2 and it was a little over 8Cr. Dhurandhar Part 2 is smashing the record with multiple folds margin. As things stands, it has already surpassed 22Cr Gross India wise. It is expected to pass the 40 Cr Gross mark and set a new benchmark for the paid premieres.
What has also happened in the process, is Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the highest premieres numbers not just for Hindi movies, but is aiming to do so across all the Indian film industry. Currently, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG holds the records for the highest collection in premieres. It is close to 34Cr Gross.
The mad rush across the country indicates the hurricane of a start Dhurandhar The Revenge is going to take. One and only wait and see where it ends up and how many records it shatters in the process.
Dhurandhar The Revenge is a spy action thriller starring an eclectic cast that includes the names like Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal etc. In the first part, Akshaye Khanna ended up stealing the show with his Rehman Dakait act. Whether he will be a part of the sequel needs to be seen. Aditya Dhar of Uri The Surgical Strike fame directs the movie.
