The two heavyweights of Telugu cinema, Young Tiger NTR and SS Rajamouli, are currently busy with their respective biggies. The former has Dragon with director Prashanth Neel whereas the latter has Varanasi with Superstar Mahesh Babu. It’s all fine, so, how are the two linked? Well, the two were looking at the same date to arrive.
The buzz in the trade circles from some time has been that SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi would arrive in March whereas NTR and Prashanth Neel’s Dragon would come in April for Ugadi. The latter looked at this date after its postponements.
However, much to everyone’s surprise, an announcement regarding the release date of Varanasi came out of nowhere. It has taken the Ugadi slot in the mind of the Dragon makers. And when Rajamouli picks a date, we know there won’t be any change, unless the film itself is not complete and it gets postponed.
As things stand today, the Telugu film industry packed with biggies in 2027, has sealed dates for two movies. We have Spirit in March and now Varanasi in April. Let’s see when the other big ones arrive to further amp up the fans’ excitement.
