Pradeep Ranganathan’s futuristic romantic drama Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan, is hitting theatres this Friday. Interestingly, this film was originally meant to be Pradeep’s second outing, but due to various delays, it is now arriving as his fourth release. With Krithi Shetty playing the female lead, expectations were initially high. However, the recently released trailer failed to generate the anticipated excitement, causing the buzz around the film to dip significantly.
At the box office, advance bookings for LIK are currently very weak. Even after 24 hours of opening on platforms like BookMyShow, the film has not managed to get going in the sales charts.
Despite strong positives such as music by Anirudh Ravichander and a crucial role played by versatile actor S.J. Suryah, the film has not yet seen encouraging signs in terms of openings. The big question now is whether Love Insurance Kompany can pull off a turnaround at the box office and deliver a hit for Pradeep Ranganathan, or whether it will mark the first setback of his career. The answer will be clear in just a couple of days.
